UptimePort ("we", "our", or "us") operates the UptimePort website and mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use our service:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Monitor data: The URLs, hostnames, and endpoints you configure for monitoring.
- Device information: When using our mobile app, we collect your device push notification token to send you alerts.
- Usage data: Basic usage information such as login times and feature usage to improve our service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the UptimePort monitoring service.
- Send you alerts and notifications when your monitors detect issues.
- Send critical alerts that may bypass Do Not Disturb settings on your device.
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
- Communicate important service updates.
3. Push Notifications
Our mobile apps use Apple Push Notification service (APNs) on iOS and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on Android to deliver real-time alerts. We store your device token solely for the purpose of sending you monitoring alerts. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or by logging out of the app.
If you have granted Critical Alerts permission, we may send alerts that bypass Do Not Disturb mode when a monitor goes down. This ensures you are notified of critical outages immediately.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers within the European Union. We use encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. Your password is stored using one-way hashing and is never stored in plain text.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- When required by law or legal process.
- To send push notifications via Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). These providers do not have access to the content of your notifications.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Monitoring check data is retained for up to 90 days. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Export your monitoring data.
- Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time.
8. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
9. Children's Privacy
UptimePort is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
